Great concept poorly executed

Their whole business model is build around no pressure haggle free sales but then they are constantly pressuring customers into buying extended service contracts because it’s the only way they actually make money on the cars. If you are selling a car but no added protection you won’t make any money.

Their first 2 weeks of training are all about how they are different from a normal car company. After that you see the slime. Selling salt damaged used cars at seemingly cheap prices then hitting the customers on the back end who are not happy and too deep in the process before they realize what's going on.

Benefits are terrible. No paid holidays. If a major holiday falls on a Thursday, that's your day off for the week. So you take off the holiday and then everyone works Saturday. THAT'S NOT A HOLIDAY!

A typical day at work consists of hitting the door with your hair on fire and being on the run until its time to go home. No plan for anything, just total chaos trying to reach unattainable goals.
Above store management is mostly clueless. Spends all day buried in spreadsheets and sending emails.
The company constantly talks about culture but they really have no idea what that is.
The hardest part of the job is coming in everyday. There are some really great people working there, and they don't deserve to get treated this way.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the co-workers. Most everyone seems to enjoy each others company.

Very well structured process. If you want to start in the car business this is the place to do so. Don’t feed off of the hype growth within, favoritism is a thing here. Management is not always on the same page this is very much a different way of buying cars but a traditional style from a salesman’s perspective if you work hard the money will come Numbers matter so don’t think they don’t at the end of the day you need to pay yourself and carry your weight. Company culture is outstanding just not in this market

Avoid at all cost-

This has truly been the worst job I have ever had. Management has ZERO respect for their employees. No work/life balance at all, you will be ridiculed and harassed if you try to take time off. Leaving on time? Good luck with that, you are guilted into excessive overtime. Management has favorites and if you’re not one of them they will push you out of the door on purpose by not giving you a fair opportunity. The pay? The pay is decent if it you’re good at selling cars. Overall if you respect yourself and your time I would advise you to RUN from this place.

  • We have purchased our last 3 vehicles from them, tje first when they were still called drivers select. Upfront on everything, and pricing is truly where they win. We upgraded my wife's edge from and sel to a titanium and tjw price was about 4k lower than any We found. My genesis was almost a max trim lvl certified ( only missing nav and heads up display) and was about 5k less than any I found...Both under 26k miles....

  • 110% do NOT recommend this place!!! They give you 5 star treatment while you buy a car, then you drive off and you're non-existent!!! DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT be led to believe you matter at this place! I bought my SUV there in November and have STILL NOT received tags or a follow-up phone call. Governor of Texas extended the paper tags and guess what, I am now over a month past that due date too!!! I have called the registration department 26 times, TWENTY SIX TIMES WITHOUT A RETURNED PHONE CALL!

    I reviewed them on Google and they responded there. Unfortunately, you can't comment on their response which is why they take the time to comment there instead of calling you when they have ALL your information.

    By the way, my daughter bought a car at a very large dealership in Houston in February and received her tags, so don't listen to their excuses of being backed up because they're a large dealership. That's a lie.

    I've warned you how this place operates, or lack of operation! Hard pass on this place!!!

  • VERONICA IS AMAZING! I had an amazing experience with her! She made the car buying process easy! NO HIDDEN FEES OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT! I love how she was straight forward honest and very friendly! I financed this car for my mom and she got me approved, signed and drove off with the car all within the same day!   • My salesman (Alvin) was super cool and they have a large selection of vehicles. I got all the features in my car that I was looking for.  I had a small issue that was corrected when it was brought to their attention and now I absolutely love my car.
    I would definitely recommend them and I have already provided their number to a few of my clients who are in the market for a vehicle.  Thanks Alvin and Christina for all of your help and making the buying process a good experience.

  • Don't even walk into this place if you don't want to finance with them. They will not take outside financing. Very responsive, will answer and "hold" are car for you to come see. But if you have a perfect rate and can have the bank wire them the money TODAY, they still won't sell to you. Sounds like they don't want to sell cars, they only want to make money off charging you exorbitant finance fees. Don't shop here. Not worth the fight.

  • We recently visited this dealer and enjoyed the experience.  The sales rep was easy to deal with and used a low pressure selling technique, which we appreciated.  They understood we are at the start of our vehicle search.  It's not quite a five star experience because this dealer does not offer certain benefits and perks offered by other dealers.  We did not purchase yet.  If we purchase from EchoPark then we will update this review with the full experience.

  • Horrible. They care until they don't - which was after I drove off the lot. There were several things wrong with my car, but the worst thing was that they did not transfer my specialized plates because they didn't know how to. They set me up with a salesperson who knew nothing about this process and tried to convince me that there wasn't one.  WRONG!!! Then their finance guy blocked me after promising to help rectify this situation. I'm tempted to show the screenshots of these promises in this post.

    Now after months of waiting for my plates to be transferred, I have to pay to have it done myself. More money wasted. This company is terrible. BEWARE!!

  • Epic fail.

    I'd give zero or negative stars if I could.

    This has to be the worst outfit I know of. I was intrigued by their low price. That much credit I'll give. I made an appointment a day in advance to visit their location to test drive the vehicle. On Saturday, I drove through traffic for an hour to get there. I was greeted and then the sales gal told me she has to "go over some policies." Hm... Ok, I said.

    She said that the low price they can offer is due to just providing one remote, no mats in the vehicle, no this, no that, she kept going. I felt uneasy, but since I drove for an hour, I wanted to test drive the vehicle. I gave her my license and the insurance info, she took pictures, and then told me to wait. About 10 min. later, the gal walks up to me and said, "The vehicle has been sold."

    That was crazy. So, I asked why I wasn't informed. She said, "We emailed you." That was crazier. She said, "We have other cars if you're interested." HA! That's the trick, I figured. I just say, "No way," and I walked out. I checked my email and guess what: they emailed me 20 minutes before the appointment to say that the vehicle was sold. Now, could that be the truth? Yes. Of course. But, is that likely? No, I beg to differ.

    Now, if the vehicle was indeed sold 20 minutes before my arrival, don't you think they should have apologized? No, they didn't apologize. In fact, the sales gal shouted, "Get out," to me. The manager tried to explain the situation, but by then, this was one of the worse experiences I've ever had.

    Stay clear from this con job.

  • Had a great experience with Echo Park and my sales associate Abraham sotelo. They got me the car I was looking for along with a great price. So far they have been able to answer all my questions post sale as well. Will be using them again.
